We're excited to announce the beta launch of VCam for Mac, which ships with an entirely new and improved user experience, better performance, and more accurate background removal models. This initial release for Mac will be later rolled out to all Windows users over the coming months, and marks the beginning of the future for VCam!

Update (01st March 2024): Version 2.0.69 has just been released. Find out everything that's new!

This is a beta build and you may encounter issues! Send your feedback via our Slack community.

Featuring a revamped user interface, this new version addresses a number of pain points, makes room for a number of exciting new features, significantly improves accessibility, and begins to build upon teams and Workspaces within VCam. Behind the scenes has seen a number of improvements too! Rebuilt from the ground up, we've optimized the development and build process for better efficiency, improved the overall performance of VCam, and introduced an improved model for more accurate background removal.

FAQs

I'm coming from XSplit VCam, where's my license?

What's different about this new version?

VCam for Mac is built using an entirely new architectural core, and offers a refreshed user experience along with better performing and more accurate background removal models.

How do I update from XSplit VCam?

Simply download VCam by creating an account on, and install on top of your existing XSplit VCam build.

Is this version a beta build?

Yes! This version of VCam may have some issues and may not fully respect all limitations of your Workspace. It may also not be optimal in all areas, and is subject to continuous improvement. This is a part of the testing process, and your valuable feedback will help us address and improve the app as a whole.

How do I use VCam?

Select “ Camera” from the list of available webcams in your meeting software. You may need to launch VCam before you launch your web browser or target application in order to select VCam as your camera.

The improvements to VCam sound really useful, especially the better performance and background removal. On a lighter note, when I get some free time, I like playing Rocket Goal —it’s a simple, fun way to relax for a few minutes.

Congrats on the VCam for Mac beta! The background removal and the cleaner interface make a real difference during long meeting days. I mostly use it for professional calls and the low latency is exactly what I wanted. On the side, I enjoy a few quick online tools between meetings - the random animal generator by tuimiz, the warrior cat name tool, a last name generator, and even the foodnevercomes page for a laugh. There is also the rice and purity test and a bible verse randomizer I check when I need a quieter moment. Keep up the great work!

It's great to see the introduction of VCam for Mac and the focus on enhancing user experience and performance. The improvements in background removal and the revamped interface sound promising for users transitioning from other platforms. I came across a useful write-up here https://datingai.chat/ that further discusses similar advancements in virtual communication tools. Looking forward to seeing how the beta evolves with user feedback!

The revamped user interface in VCam for Mac sounds like a game-changer! A smoother experience can really make a difference, especially for those of us who rely on background removal for professional video calls. I often use tools like the Significant Figures Calculator for my work, so efficiency in software is key—excited to see how VCam evolves! Significant Figures Calculator
