What happens to the previous stable Windows version?

We intend to continue providing basic support for the previous stable Windows version up until the end of this year, December 2024, after which you will be required to move over to this new version. We'll share more news on our full plans for this transition in due course.

A look to the future

Our vision for VCam since moving to VCam.ai has always been about creating an on-device AI companion app for your every meeting. Starting with best-in-class camera background removal, we're excited to explore new experiences and features in the future that push us towards this goal, including:

  • Name Tags (already live!)
Display your name and position on top of your camera feed. Over the coming months, we'll be improving on this feature to allow customization and unique designs!

  • Always-On Overlay
Keep tabs on your meeting and control your VCam camera from anywhere. This small widget will overlay on top of your windows, and give a live feed of Zoom, Meet, Teams, or wherever you may be using VCam.

  • Amazing Audio
One of the biggest pain points we often face in meetings is how we sound. We'll be introducing a virtual microphone into VCam, with local AI background noise removal, so that you not only look your best but you also sound your best.

  • Real-Time Captions
We continuously learned how real-time captions would be beneficial for telehealth providers, interactive tellers, remote support operators, and meeting goers in general. They'll be landing in your app towards the end of this year!

All of these features and more will be included in all plans, once they are launched.
